ABUNDANCE (4)

INTRODUCTION

"I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly". (John 10:10b)

We all have the right to enjoy an abundant life, namely a life that overflows, and spilled over on to others.

CONTENT

Examples of different kinds of believers who do not have a true understanding of the idea of to be living in abundance, and those who do understand it well:

  1. One who never has enough

This kind of person feels he is always in lack, needs attention, must asks for mercy. The word giving, overflowing, a life that spills over to others is something strange and frightening to him.

  2. One who feels self-satisfied

This kind of person is feeling self-satisfied, so he doesn't think about others nor is he sensitive to others’ needs. He is allergic to the words giving, overflowing, a life that spills over to others as it might disrupt his personal life that is well-settled and comfortable.

  3. One who lives in abundancy

This kind of person makes himself to be a channel to others and whose very source is the Lord Jesus Christ Himself (John 4:14).

This person tries to be a light for others that shines, who blesses and shares with others (1 Kings 17:10-16).

This person lives out a life that gives, his life overflows in abundance, and he gives to others what he receives. While he gives, he himself keeps on to rely on a never-ending source, namely Jesus Christ Himself.

CONCLUSION

Experience abundance as God has promised in John 10:10, and be a blessing to others!
