ABUNDANCE (1)

LIVING IN ABUNDANCE

INTRODUCTION

John 10:10  "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more

 CONTENT

  1. Life is not emptiness
The meaning of abundance is 'well filled'. In the Bible we read that Solomon, who had everything, wrote that everything under the heaven is vanity, grasping for the wind. We also hear that many rich people's lives in this world are empty, or that life of a famous movie star ends up with overdose (drugs). This proves the existence of emptiness, which cannot satisfy the human soul. Jesus came to satisfy the deepest need of humans, where the world cannot fulfill them. He fills us with the Holy Spirit (John 14:26).

  2. Life is not scary (2 Timothy 1:7)
Another side of abundance is that the Lord Jesus removes fear and gives peace in our lives. Jesus came to defeat the death, He is risen from the death (grave). We have hope now, like what Paul said that to live is Christ and to die is gain.

  3. Life without worry (Mathew 6:31-33)
If God controls our lives, why should we worry and afraid of? If we first seek the Kingdom of God, then all things will be added to us. Having faith to God is in essence, giving our lives to the sovereignty of God, because He determines our future.

CONCLUSION

Abundant life in the Lord Jesus does not only mean in the material sense, but in everything.
