EL BETHEL - GOD IS IN HIS TEMPLE (HIS CHURCH)
INTRODUCTION
CHURCH IS THE PLACE OF THANKSGIVING.
Psalm 100 contains “A Psalm of Thanksgiving,” which is an expression of gratitude from the psalmist. In this psalm, everyone is invited to worship God (Psalm 100:2). The word ‘worship’ itself can also be translated as ‘serving’. Our worship is our service. Serving God means performing dedicated duties toward God, as a servant/slave does to his master.
CONTENT
How do we do that in the service?
With shouts of joy, like welcoming the arrival of a king with the sound of trumpets and joyful music.
With joy, because there is deliverance from the bondage of sin through the forgiveness provided by God (Psalm 100:2a).
With shouts of joy and full confidence, people who are unworthy to come to God should not hesitate to worship Him (Psalm 100:2b).
CONCLUSION
The three things above show us that worshipping God is not a heavy and burdensome thing, but it should be done joyfully.
