THE CHURCH IS A HOUSE OF BLESSING
INTRODUCTION
Blessings in the House of God (Psalm 27:4). Let us reflect on each of our lives. If we were told to ask for one thing in our life, surely some of us would choose treasures, riches, material things and carnally minded desires. But unlike King David, he asked to dwell in the house of the Lord all his life.
CONTENTS
When we dwell in God's house, there are blessings that God has provided for each of us.
1. God's protection in times of danger (Psalm 27:5).
King David committed and entrusted his entire life into God's hands, because in God's house there was perfect protection for his life. Likewise, in the House of God, there is God's presence and His care for us. The presence of God that we feel we will carry in our daily lives. When we dwell in God's presence, all that is good will be our portion.
2. God's presence in each of our lives (Psalm 27:9-10).
King David asked that the Spirit of God will never leave him. King David won victory after victory because he loved to invite God's presence. Learn to seek God's presence and come to worship at the house of the LORD, because without God, we can do nothing.
3. God's favour is provided for each of us (Psalm 27:13-14).
There is God's mercy and grace when we dwell in God's house, and in fact every day we desperately need His mercy. Like Mary, who loved to sit at the Lord's feet and seek His presence, experienced God's favour when she faced a problem that no one could solve. Jesus' heart was touched, so He raised Lazarus to life.
CONCLUSION
We will receive God's miracles and blessings when we come to the House of God, so that we will bring this message of grace to many people (Psalm 92:12-15).
