DO NOT GIVE UP EASILY

INTRODUCTION

Hebrews 10:36; Many of us often stop along the way. Similar to Joshua who was confused about where God would take the Israelites after leaving Egypt. Jericho was the first city Joshua had to conquer (Joshua 6:1-14).

God spoke as if it had already happened, even though Joshua had not yet entered the city of Jericho and had not yet fought.

Some of the reasons why we often stop and give up in the process are:

  1. OUR SIGHT IS OFTEN DISRUPTED

What will we do if what we see is not what God said or promised? Be aware that the intensity of the turbulence in our lives proves how powerful God's promises are in our lives.

    • So, hold on to God's promise. Don't go on your own so that you won't give up in the process.

  2. WE SEE NO PROGRESS.

Many like to see only the result, but not the process. Joshua had to enter the desert process with Moses. Joshua even had to surround the walls of Jericho for seven days, but then the walls collapsed.

    • Even though progress is not visible, obedience is our responsibility, the result is God's responsibility.

  3. THE PROCESS HAS NO LIMITS.

We never know when the process in our lives is complete. But never give up, because who knows, we may be almost at the finish line! God wants us to truly surrender ourselves completely to Him.

    • God is more interested in our character and capacity than in blessing us.

CONCLUSION

Walk as if this is the last lap of your life and run like we're about to reach the finish line. Never give up, no matter how great the challenges ahead seem to be (Joshua 6:20).
