CONFIDENCE IN GOD (1)

INTRODUCTION

Believe and Faith have different meanings. Many Christians claim to believe in Jesus, but how many really have confidence in Him?

CONTENTS

How do we make sure that our level of Christianity does not stop at the level of believing?

1.      Relationship  (1 Corinthians 1:9)

  • Many Christians do not have a relationship with God. In these times, Christians have a status (child of God, believer, saved, diligent worshiper) without having a relationship with God.

  • No matter how great our life is without a relationship with God, our life will not function properly, and we will not have confidence in Him (John 15:3-4).

2.      His word never changes (Matthew 24:35).

We can only rely on something that does not waver. None of the promises, words, expectations of people are certain.

  • The only thing that is certain and unchanging is the Word of God.

  • Start to build our lives based on His Word, because God's Word is a solid promise that does not change, and it will definitely happen (Psalm 119:9).

3.      Start to recognize God's ability (Genesis 18:14)

The more we recognize God's ability, the more we can trust Him.

  • We have a great God who supports our lives.

  • When we start to focus on our problems, we will start to see God as being smaller than our problems. When we start to focus on God, we will start to see problems as being smaller than God (Mark 10:27).

4.      Experience with God (Exodus 3:1-12)

Experience with the LORD allows us to trust HIM, because He has gone through our past, present, and future problems, to help us.

CONCLUSION

Make sure we have a solid relationship with God and have an intimate relationship with Him. Strive to know His Word because it is a solid foundation. Amen.
