RESTORATION
INTRODUCTION
Revival also means restoration. Let’s read from Acts 3:21. The Lord Jesus is now in Heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father. How long will the Lord Jesus be there? Until the restoration of all things is complete as spoken of by His holy prophets of the ancient times, then He will come the second time for you and me. There is a restoration taking place nowadays, which is the restoration of the Church.
CONTENT
The Father longs to restore all people to be His children again (Luke 15:11-31).
Restoration of relationship with God as Father (Luke 15:20).
The Bible explains that the father of the youngest son ran to his son, embraced him and kissed him. That was proof that the father loved his son so much. In the same way, our Father in heaven loves us so much and is waiting for us to come to Him so that He can restore our lives (Ephesians 2:13-14, 2 Peter 3:9). There are many things that can attract the attention of the Father in heaven, but it is only we, His children, who attract His attention, so that He will set His face to love, restore, and bestow us with everything that is the best (favour).
Restoration of glory and honour (Luke 15:22).
The best robe is a picture of God’s glory and honour being restored to us, which was lost due to sin when Adam fell into sin (Romans 3:23, Revelation 19:8, John 17:22). God the Father wants to give us His glory. To be given means that it does not belong to us humans, and we can only receive it from God the Father through the Lord Jesus.
Restoration of rights as heirs (Luke 15:22, Ephesians 1:14, Galatians 4:7).
Heirs of the Father in Heaven means that we do not need to lack, because as His children as written in Matthew 6:31-34 that the Father in heaven has prepared everything (John 16:23-24).
Restoration of power and authority (Joshua 1:3, Luke 10:19, Ephesians 6:15).
The main and most valuable assets in God’s kingdom are not things, materials, houses, buildings, land, that we can see, but people, you and me, as children of the Father in Heaven.
CONCLUSION
Experience restoration / revival by humbling yourself and repenting (Acts 3:19, Luke 15:21), and turning away from the wrong way of thinking, way of life, attitude of the heart (Luke 15:20)
