KNOWING THE NATURE OF THE FATHER IN HEAVENS

INTRODUCTION

It is God the Father in Heaven who has the initiative to restore. Knowing the nature or character of our heavenly Father can give us strength.

It is not easy for many people to understand the Father. The harshness of life often blurs our view of Him. However, by knowing the Father and the nature He possesses, we find the comfort and strength needed to face every challenge. Each character is a reflection of His perfect personality and is the foundation for us to experience ‘Revival’, growing in faith and steadfastness.

CONTENTS

  1. Love (1 John 4:9).

Heavenly Father's attribute of love is first and foremost known to us. His love is unconditional, endless, and always seeks the best for us.

When we feel unloved, remember the Father's never-ending love for us, a love that sacrifices what is most precious to Him, for our sake.

  2. Patience (2 Peter 3:9).

Heavenly Father's unrushed patience is shown in His patience that lovingly waits for us to return to Him. In His patience, we will find room to grow and learn from our mistakes.

  3. Righteous (Deuteronomy 32:4).

Not only loving and patient, the Father is the embodiment of true righteousness. His every word and action is pure and blameless. This gives us confidence that everything He allows in our lives, including trials and tribulations, is part of a greater plan, which is based on His righteousness and justice.

  4. Eternal (Psalm 90:2)

Eternal is a characteristic that confirms that our Heavenly Father does not change. He is the same in the past, present, and future. We can depend on Him completely because He is a stable point in the midst of a changing world.

CONCLUSION

By understanding His great character, we can be fully assured, become strong from our relationship with Him, and move forward with the confidence that we are not alone.
