THE NEED FOR REVIVAL

INTRODUCTION

REVIVAL is characterised by emotions that begin to be directed towards loving the things God loves and hating the things God hates. Before we repented, we were out of sync with God's emotions. We became God's enemies by loving what God hates and hating what God loves. When revival comes, we will turn around. We begin to dislike unclean things, hate sin, adopt God's emotions, and begin to love lost souls. We see that when God's Spirit works, revival happens, then people have an emotional change. They love to pray, love to read God's words, love to fellowship, and love purity and justice.

How limited human beings are, so we must always rely on God. God is the master of history. At certain times God sends revival to mankind.

CONTENTS

There are 2 groups of people who need to experience revival.

Let's read from Luke 15:1-32.

1.      Lost children.

Those who forsake the Father (the Father is a picture of the LORD who has everything):

-          For seeking their own fulfillment.

-          Because they want freedom and enjoy life away from their relationship with their Father (Luke 15:30).

2.      Firstborn.

This is a picture or representation of a person who is close to the Father but does not enjoy the life that the Father has.

-          Life is full of lack.

-          Life without thanksgiving.

-          Life is filled with suspicion and envy.

In short, they need revival, because we do not understand or have not been opened to who the Father is and what He has. That is why we need to be open to this truth, life class or Winning Strategy is God's blessing for us to experience revival, so that we will be more open to our Father in Heaven.
