PASSOVER CELEBRATION

INTRODUCTION

Luke 24:1-9

Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, the women went to the tomb, bringing the spices they had prepared. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, and when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they stood there wondering about this, suddenly two men in dazzling clothes stood near them. They were terrified and bowed their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, saying, ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.’” Then they remembered Jesus' words. And after they had returned from the tomb, they told all this to the eleven disciples and to all the others.

CONTENTS

Three meanings of Passover that we can reflect on today:

1.     We can see His power.

Passover speaks of the power of Christ, so the resurrection of the Lord is giving us power, so that we are able to solve our problems.

2.     We can see His promise.

God's promise for our lives is better than any promise the world can give. If someone makes a promise, let us continue to pray for them, but let us not be disappointed when we do not receive that promise.

3.     We can see God's passion.

Do not extinguish God's passion for us. Therefore, we must continue to take every opportunity and use it as best we can for the glory of God's name alone, because we never know what will happen in the future.

CLOSING

Three main messages from His Word that we can take today to celebrate and commemorate Passover:

- Time: We give and make time for God.

- Think: We think about what God has given us.

- Tell: We tell others about all of God's goodness in our lives.
