REVIVAL= MOVING US TOWARDS A CLEAR GOAL
OPENING
Namarta (sin) means an arrow that is released but does not reach its target. This is what the devil uses these days to bring God's children down, to prevent God's children from reaching their life goals.
CONTENTS
To run towards God's vision/goal (Philippians 3: 1b-14), we need to pay attention to the following:
1. Beware and be on guard (Philippians 3: 2-3)
Do not carelessly listen to the advice of those around us. Make sure that the person whose advice we are listening to is someone who is truly in the Church, loves us and lives close to God.
Characteristics of false advisors:
a. Look at the fruits
b. They put their trust in superficial things (positions, ministers, etc.)
2. Appearances do not determine a person's knowledge of God (Philippians 3: 4-6)
Knowing the word is not enough. Make sure that in every service, we receive a fresh knowledge of God. When the Holy Spirit comes down, the word of God comes to life.
3. Considering all losses as losses for Christ (Philippians 3: 8)
Make sure that knowing God is the most honourable thing. When we let go of what God tells us to let go of, we will not lose anything. To be able to run, we cannot look at two things at once. God will remove any focus that is not from Him.
CONCLUSION
WHY SHOULD WE FOCUS ON GOD'S PURPOSE?
What God wants to do, is often not something we can see with our five senses. For that reason, it is very important to pay attention to every step we take, be sure of our focus every day (Hebrews 11:3).
