FOCUS ON THE FUTURE
INTRODUCTION
The word of God is taken from the book of Proverbs 3:11-14 “My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD, ... Happy is the man who finds wisdom, and the man who gains understanding;...”
This verse is related to our theme for this year from Psalm 32:8.
When we uphold the true teachings of the entire Bible and examine its incidents, we will realise that we deserve to be saved, protected and forgiven from all the sins and crimes we have committed.
This assurance was made possible by the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ who came down to earth as a man and died on the cross.
CONTENTS
1. No need to be distracted
As believers, we should not be distracted by the news of human tragedies, natural disasters or anything that can shake our souls, be it news of riots, which have filled the news in the mass media, or online media (Psalm 91:14-16).
We must know that these things are the consequences of human sin and ungodliness (1 Timothy 6:9-10).
2. Keep moving forward with the LORD
No matter the challenges we will face in 2025, the ongoing problems, the shaken world economy, and so on, but for us believers, we must know the end of the world and we are heading towards the climax of victory, because the Bible says that “We are more than conquerors!” (Romans 8:37, 1 Peter 2:9).
The future is merciless, but it is in the hands of our LORD. He is preparing something better than what the eyes have seen, what the ears have heard and what the hearts of men have stored up.
CONCLUSION
Focus on the future with God, as in Romans 8:31 “If God is for us, who can be against us?” God is with us all.
