STEP INTO THE PROMISE OF GOD (1)

INTRODUCTION

Our theme for this month is ‘Stepping into God's promise or plan’ and the theme for these 3 weeks are: 7 ENEMY BARRIERS TO THE PROMISED LAND (Deuteronomy 7:1-3).

These “seven nations” symbolize ‘different aspects of obstacles’ in our lives in this age of grace. Therefore, these “seven nations” must be conquered.

CONTENT

These seven nations were the seven enemies that kept the Israelites from entering the Promised Land.

  1. ‘The Hittites’

Hittite in Greek means terror or intimidation, fear. The devil wants to play with our minds or attack our thoughts. When Jesus was tempted by Satan, He said up to 3 to times “It is written”, followed by the Word (Luke 4:1-11).

If you know the Word and practice it, you will powerfully say “it is written” and become more than a conqueror.

  2. ‘The Girgashites’

Girgasy means people who are always looking at reality, people who rely on their own mindset.

2 Corinthians 5:7 – “for we walk by faith, not by sight” (NKJV)

God warns us not to depend on what we see with our physical eyes, because what we see can be frightening, debilitating, and disappointing and end in defeat.

Live on God's promise, for example like the 12 spies sent by Moses (Read, Numbers 13:28-33). Trust in the promise of the LORD.

CONCLUSION

Let us see if these people or these spirits come to disturb our Christian faith. Take action now by chasing him away. IMMANUEL.
