MOVING FORWARD

INTRODUCTION

We must not stop or even turn back, because the fulfillment of the promise or the promised land awaits us, just like the journey of the Israelites according to God's Word in Deuteronomy 1:3-15.

CONTENT

From Deuteronomy 1:3-15 we see that Moses was commanded by God not only to depart, but also to go on, entering and occupying the promised land, the land that God had promised.

What do we need to have in order to move forward toward the vision God has given us?

  1. Hearing God's voice/commands.

We can see that without God's voice, Moses might never have the courage to take the step.

    • In order to move forward in this life, it is important that we become people who are listening or are sensitive to God's voice/commands. (Deuteronomy 1:3).

    • To being sensitive, we must continually train ourselves. Learn to communicate with the Lord, talk to Him and listen to Him.

  2. Get out of your comfort zone.

Of course, we must not only listen to His voice, but also obey what He says.

    • God's Word above teaches us to get out of our comfort zone: "We have stayed in it long enough" (Deuteronomy 1:6).

    • The comfort zone can undermine a person's maximum potential.

    • Leave your comfort zone and go to a place where everything seems impossible to break. Do believe that the Lord's power and authority there will be showing His power to us in our lives.

CONCLUSION

Listen to His Word, act like Peter, who got out of his boat because the Lord was standing before him (Matthew 14:28-29).
